    Shar-Pei Dogs can make good pets in Congo if they match your IifestyIe. The Shar-Pei is an adorable medium sized, wrinkled dog. Shar-Peis are intelligent, dominant dogs. This breed needs early, consistent training from a master that exudes leadership. Shar-Peis can be socialized to get along with children and other pets. Shar-Peis are extremely easy to housebreak. A Shar-Pei needs to be protected from extreme heat and can live in an apartment with enough exercise.

    The Shar-Pei has a purple tongue. Shar-Peis are depicted on Chinese pottery dating back to 206 B.C. The wrinkled coat of a Shar-Pei made the dog difficult for its adversary to grab in dog fighting. Shar-Peis almost died out during the Communist Revolution. Shar-Peis have a severe, frowning expression but are actually very loving dogs.
