     This Lil girl came to us for euthanasia. She had been a patient of our clinic and the owner graciously surrendered her to us instead. We reached out to numerous agencies that we work with and even friends and family on FB with her story and picture. We will likely never know the complete back story for Angie life, but we will know that she definitely has a future. The family that has been approved to adopt Angie is enrolling her in obedience and therapy training. She may have a tainted past but her future is bright as a companion to a disabled adult. Angie's want to be with humans will suite her very well in this new role! Thank you, Rescue Me, for providing another avenue to get Angie's picture out to the public.

     My dad's dog, Yoshi, was his world. When he passed away last week, we began what we thought was going to be a daunting task of getting his dog adopted. It was important to us that Yoshi goes to a good family, not just anyone. A big thank you to Rescue Me for making it quick and simple. We had several takers, all of which showed genuine interest in giving Yoshi a good home. Thank you to the wonderful family who adopted her. Knowing she is being well cared for and loved makes loosing our father a bit less painful.

     Rusty was adopted by a wonderful family. Rusty's new dad has a four year old red nose Staffordshire and she once lived in a house with another dog. She always had play time. Well, Rusty's dad moved in with his new wife and her five year old daughter. The red nose girl was sad and had no playmate, and her dad was looking for a very particular dog to bring into the family for both his dog and the couple's young daughter. Well? RUSTY fits the bill right the minute he read his description at Rescue Me. The meet and greet went wonderfully and Rusty's new doggie sister and human sister love him to pieces. The family has enrolled Rusty in training for the little girl and mom as well as both dogs in agility training! I could of not asked for a better family to place Rusty into. He was vetted, neutered, and fostered by me for a little before he headed to his new forever home. Best outcome ever and I love getting updates from the family. He also is microchipped, of course!

     Layla's life was on a chain, tied out in a yard where no one lived. She was fed and watered, but that's all, no attention was given to her. When our group got Layla, she was heartworm positive. So, we had her treated, spayed, all shots. She has been in a wonderful foster home until today when her foster took her to meet her forever family. They have a male Shar Pei mix and Layla and their dog get along wonderfully. Thank you, Rescue Me, for all the animals you have helped us find homes for.

     I had been looking to adopt another Shar Pei for a while now but hadn't done so. I would share all the ones available on Rescue Me on Facebook and that was it until i saw a little chocolate Shar Pei mix for adoption on your site. It was love at first site! Even though she looked like a lil rag a muffin with mange and very underweight I knew she was it. A friend who lives in Houston went and met her for me and told me all about her. That was all it took. I got her two days later! She has turned out to be the most sweet lovable lil dog. Gets along great with my other Pei too! They are like long lost sisters! Thanks Rescue Me!

     Thank all of you that operate Rescue me. I posted Luke, a Shar-Pei pug that I rescued. I had several calls and emails about him, but no firm adoption offers. Finally, Sunday evening a wonderful lady called me. She has two Shar-Peis so she understands the breed. She took him home for a visit and after two days offered Luke a home. I know that he will be happy and cared for as all pets should be. Thank you so much for your help!

     I had to put my Sharpei down in January of 2012. I missed him so much. My husband and I agreed we would never buy another purebred dog but would rescue dogs that needed a good home. We have one rescued Yellow Lab that we got at our local shelter, but I still missed my Sharpei. So, I got on the internet and found this web site. At first, nothing would come up for Iowa. Then, later this year, there she was. There was no picture, but the owner and I emailed each other. I finally made arrangements to go down and look at her. It was love at first sight. Princess is a beauty. She even knows how to high five. She gets along with everyone. She is such a loving girl. I am glad I found this site and hope a lot of people will rescue more dogs.      Max was recently adopted by a wonderful family and they're committed to giving him the forever home he so deserves! I'm thrilled not only for Max, but for the Osborne family for opening their hearts and home to this very special boy! He now has his very own yard with a security fence around it and lots of rooms to investigate. He will be the only pet, so no doubt will be spoiled rotten! Way to go Max!

     Within an hour of posting Rosie, we had a call from a wonderful couple that was interested in her. We talked and made arrangements for them to meet her. They live six hours from us. Rosie took right to them and we have stayed in touch. She's adapting very well and I am so thankful for Rescue Me in helping to find a great home for her.

     I recently got a new promotion at work which involved longer hours. Unfortunately, I was no longer able to care for my Shar-Pei Simba because he was used to a lot of attention. Through Rescue Me!, I was able to meet several families and make a decision based who was best suited for Simba. I am happy to say that a wonderful family adopted Simba. The family had recently lost their Shar-Pei, so I am comfortable knowing they will give him all the love and attention he deserves. They have remained in touch, allowing me to visit him.      Due to my chronic health conditions, we could no longer give proper care to Maisy, our Shar-Pei mix. She was adopted into a loving home where she will have another pooch as a friend, and a yard to roam in. I am grateful for Rescue Me! and the person who referred me. I feel so bad giving her up, but feel better knowing she did not have be traumatized by being sent back to the shelter.

     It was a hard journey because my dog had a lot of issues; I was afraid no one would take him. Then an angel contacted me. She is an expert on Shar Pei.      Thanks so much, Rescue Me! Ada found a permanent home with loving people and is on her way to her new home and new vet. I hated to see her go but we were only a stopping point for her, and just didn't have the ability to give her the care she needed. The people that adopted her contacted me about 30 minutes after I listed her, having just lost their beloved pet a week before. I feel she will be with them for many, many years.

     Bruiser is a wonderful little boy, and has since his adoption become a fully licensed service animal. Many times when we rescue we are unsure if our rescued friends will find homes. And much was the case with Bruiser. This Shar-Pei mix stayed in the rescue for well over 2 months and we were beginning to think we would never be able to find him a forever home. But then once again the miracle happened. This wonderful, energetic, playful boy had a home.

     Hi Jeff, I just wanted to personally thank you for Rescue Me! helping me rehome my Shar Pei Pugsly. Having sold my house I was moving to smaller property and there wasn't space for Pugsly as the garden was extremely small in the new property. I didn't think I would easily rehome Pugsly as he was 3 years old and had minor ear problems (as do most Shar Pei's) but within a day or two of putting Pugsly onto Rescue Me, I had responses and was approached by a family who lived nearby who already had one Shar Pei, so understood the health problems they had and had already dealt with the breed. They took Pugsly on and it is a heartwarming story to know that Pugsly bonded well with their other dog and they are best of friends! Thanks to Rescue Me as I thought I would have to have Pugsly euthanized rather than let him go to either animal welfare or somewhere where he would struggle! Thanking you once again, Carole

     Jeff, wow, this site is the easiest, most logical and functional site I have found for Rescued animals! I posted Porkchop's Shar Pei mix ad, and three weeks later, he is out of the oppressive Georgia heat and humidity and earning frequent flier miles on his way to a much cooler Minnesota! Anne & Gene know the breed and just fell in love with Porkchop at first sight. I am so very thankful that Rescue Me helped to facilitate Porkchop and his new family in finding each other, and I learned how to ship a pet in the process!
