LULU'S SAYS MEET LEXINGTON another stunning Shar-Pei with an awesome personality! LEXINGTON needs our help. He is stuck in a shelter setting and not happy at all. He desperately needs a foster home where he can let his light shine. He's playful and affectionate and good with older kids, dogs, and cats. LEXINGTON is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing. LULU'S SAYS MEET LOGAN! My name is Logan and looka what I've got: WRINKLES! That's because I'm part Shar Pei, that Chinese dog that's all about folds and crinkles. I'm the one that makes humans smile and go, 'Ooooo, what kind of dog is that?' You and I are going to be selfie-crazy, putting our two muzzles together with our smiles on fleek for all our followers. To add to my charm and personality, my eyes are green, my nose is pink and my coat is white. Sweet, right?! I'm a youngster at about 10-months old, and weigh 42 lbs. I have a lot of energy, so I hope you have a lot of it too, and some experience as a dog owner so we can hit the ground running (Ha, I'm punny too!) I'm super lovable, but a bit aloof at the same time. (It's a Shar Pei thing! Or maybe a Shar 'Bae' thing would be a better way to describe it!) Things I've got straight: playing with plastic bottles and playing tug with humans, pointing at birds, crusin' in the car, loving attention, and sleeping through the night like a baby. Things I need to iron out: better leash skills, crate training, and learning about kids, cats and dogs. When you and I walk down the street, heads will turn, crowds will form and we'll be the center of attention. We were meant to be together. LOGAN is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $395. Please note that training is highly recommended for all young dogs. As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing. Visit WWW.LULUSRESCUE.ORG and click on the ADOPT tab for an overview of Lulu's Rescue adoption process. Thanks for adopting and saving a life -- you are LOGAN'S hero! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-24-00234Chance (male)|
Chance is a very loyal, protective, loving dog with those that he trusts. However, he is so protective of his family with strangers coming into the home, he needs to be muzzled when they enter until it is proven they are no threat. (After he is comfortable, he is your best friend) He did bite two people he did not know once as they entered the home. The only incidents with people have been with strangers entering the home. Recently Chance has attacked another dog in the home and even though they had lived together with no issues for 4 years, it is the veterinarian's recommendation that they be kept separated at all times, he be rehomed or the family has to put him down. The owner has a terminal neurological disorder and is confined to a wheelchair. Keeping them separated at all times isn't possible. Chance has been nothing but loving and playful with children but with his aggressive history, I am not sure a home with small children would be best for him in a rehoming situation. I strongly believe Chance would thrive in a 1-2 person household with no other dogs, a fenced in yard or on a farm, and with people who would have the patience and time to work on his trust issues. |Rescue Me ID: 16-08-15-00253CONG (male)|
My name is Alyssa and I have a really good friend who is looking into options of surrendering his pet to a really good home. My sister has gone through you guys (Kim Butler) in the past and has always had great things to say! Here's his story: his dog, Cong a Chinese Shar Pei, is bind. He wasn't blind his whole life, but has been blind for quite some time now. My friend is moving and is in temporary housing right now and it is taking a really big toll on both Cong and his human family. He know their previous home so this was never an issue for him, it is just that it's a big change, a smaller living space, and his stress levels are making him uncomfortable and needy to the family. My friend works long hours and has a long commute home so he is not there often to take care of Cong and look after him as much as he really needs right now. I wanted to know more information about ACDC and if this is a situation you would be happy to help with! There isn't anything medically wrong with Cong, in fact he regularly sees the vet and gets his shots and is up to date on everything. My friend just feels that Cong needs more attention than he is able to give him at this time! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-13-00276Molly (female)|
Molly is a very protective dog who is sweet as can be to our family, however, there has been a big shift in our family needs and she has become a little too dominant with visitors. We have tried numerous avenues for training and are just unable to spend any more ADDITIONAL time on rehabilitating her. With time and patience she will be a lovely dog for someone.
